Greetings, New England LMSC!
I hope you are well as the weather starts to warm and more opportunities for swimming arise. I’m sure you have heard already, but our 2022 SCY championship meet is happening soon and registration is open! Consider this my personal invitation to join us in Worcester from April 1-3.
I recently returned from Denver, CO, where I took part in the USMS Relay 2022 volunteer summit, which focused on club development. Over one hundred USMS volunteers, including five from New England, assembled for a weekend of networking, workshopping, and exchanging ideas. In addition to a keynote from Nathan Adrian, I enjoyed learning how other LMSCs support their clubs, members, and coaches and came away with some ideas I am excited to implement here. As always, if you have any suggestions for how the LMSC can serve you better, feel free to reach out to me directly.
One more thing - please take a look around your club or workout group and consider nominating someone for a local service award this year. Nominations for most of the NELMSC award categories are due May 1, and awards will be presented at our Hall of Fame induction and Awards celebration following the Jenny Thompson meet on July 17th.
Thank you for being part of our Masters Swimming community!
