One Takes: Our struggle with impatience
In today's One Take, Bob talks about impatience with Bruce Chapman, author of the daily devotion for today. Too often, Bruce says, our culture associates waiting with standing in line at the store or sitting in rush hour traffic.

"Impatience threatens our undoing," Bruce writes. "Advent prescribes not senseless waiting, but eager, expectant waiting -- anticipating the fulfillment of God’s promised grace." Read Bruce's devotion here.
The stewardship campaign is nearing the 2021 starting line and there’s still a place for YOU in this race. To date, we’ve received 330 pledges totaling $1.9 million. We need your help to reach our $3.1 million goal.

Help children select gifts for their parents
Urban Promise's Joy of Giving initiative
We can make it possible for children to find gifts for their parents and guardians at Christmas. This program is led by Urban Promise, a mission partner that works in Charlotte's historically under-served communities.

It's an exciting day for children to experience the joy of giving by selecting small gifts. Street Leaders teach the students about God's boundless generosity and then help students package their gifts. Learn more and sign up here.
