CBST New Door Policy for Services and Events

In our ongoing effort to keep the community safe while making entry to services and programs as simple as possible, we have updated our procedures.

We will have a list at the door of all community members who have submitted proof of complete vaccination. If you plan to attend services or programs in person and have not yet submitted your proof, please click here to do so. If you’re on this list, you don’t need to show proof of vaccination or sign in. Just give your name at the door. Anyone not on the list needs to show proof of vaccination and sign in with contact information. If we are informed of a potential exposure at a service or program, we will send a notice to everyone on the list and all those who have signed in individually for the event in question.

By entering the building for services, you are attesting that you have been completely vaccinated (including booster if eligible), will wear a mask as required, have not been diagnosed with or exposed to Covid, and will inform the synagogue if you test positive for Covid after attending services or other programs. Full attestation can be read here and is posted at the entrance to the synagogue.

We mark Israel’s Independence Day, Yom Ha’atsmaut, in this service, and our deep commitment to helping make Israel a place that lives up to the highest values. The CBST Choir will perform at this service.

Happy Third Birthday to CBST’s Ark Immigration Clinic!

On May 8, 2019, our first immigrant friends showed up to CBST’s new immigration clinic, and three years later, we’ve
  • welcomed 550 immigrant friends from 50 countries
  • 75% of them LGBTQ+ and/or HIV+
  • filed over 120 applications for asylum
  • connected more than 80 friends to legal representation, and
  • celebrated 17 of our friends winning their asylum cases.

THANK YOU to every one of you who has volunteered, donated, or cheered for this success! This summer, we’re planning a clinic birthday picnic, and everyone will be invited. Make a donation to our Mutual Aid fund and help us continue to support our immigrant neighbors.
