OHIO SENATE ADVANCES LEGISLATION TO IMPROVE THE BUCKEYE STATE'S LEGAL CLIMATE
In one of its last remaining sessions of 2020, the Ohio Senate advanced two pieces of legislation that will positively impact the legal climate Ohio employers operate in. The bills – HB 251 and SB 243 – were both supported by the Ohio Chamber of Commerce because they give employers more certainty about their legal obligations.

UPDATE ON SENATE BILL 39 - NEXT STOP: THE GOVERNOR'S DESK

Senate Bill 39 provides an insurance premiums tax credit for transformational mixed-use developments. It passed the House during a session this past Tuesday.

OHIO CHAMBER'S EMPLOYMENT LAW UNIFORMITY ACT TAKES IMPORTANT FIRST STEP IN THE SENATE, BUT FURTHER ACTION IS NEEDED
The Ohio Chamber’s longstanding Employment Law Uniformity Act – HB 352 – took another step towards reaching the governor’s desk and becoming law as the Ohio Senate Judiciary Committee held its first hearing on the bill on Wednesday.
