The Legacy of a Man with Vision
A Message from Our President & CEO, Bruce Phipps

I wonder what our founder, Edgar J. Helms would think about Goodwill on his 157th Birthday. January 19th was the day Goodwills across the world celebrated the legacy of this man of vision. Born in 1863 during the Civil War, Helms, a Methodist minister, saw the daily hardships people faced trying to make ends meet. The story of Goodwill has been told for over a hundred years, in fact it's been 117 years since the first Goodwill was founded in Boston.
