This session will look at key developments for the last two months of 2020 through the date of the program.

The topics to be covered include the IRS ruling on deducting expenses eligible to qualify the taxpayer for PPP loan forgiveness, revision beginning in 2022 to required minimum distribution amounts, various court rulings and any end of year legislation that might have been passed before the new Congress is seated.

January 14 & 15

This 2-day course is designed for new staff or paraprofessionals, or "rusty" preparers returning to the work force.

The course is a comprehensive study of individual taxation, with an introduction to C corporation and S corporation preparation issues. Reference manual contains many examples and cases to illustrate the most important points new preparers need to be aware of for tax returns.

This is a great way for non professional staff ready for tax season. As a member - your staff are also eligible for member price on this event!
Taxpayer Access Point now even easier to use

BOISE, IDAHO — Dec. 9, 2020 — Taxpayers who use the Idaho State Tax Commission’s online Taxpayer Access Point (TAP) will see a new look the next time they log in. The Tax Commission recently upgraded TAP with a streamlined look and improved navigation.

TAP is a convenient, secure way to file and pay many Idaho taxes. The new TAP layout is simpler and more intuitive to use. It makes finding functions even easier than before.

Users now have an Action Center tab that highlights items that need attention, such as tax returns that are due or messages from the Tax Commission.

Tax professionals have a new homepage that provides information about all their clients in a user-friendly format, showing all clients at once. They can see recent submissions; easily manage messages, letters, payments, and returns; or request access to a client. ISCPA Members assisted ISTC to review and the system.

To learn more about the TAP changes, visit the Tax Commission website at tax.idaho.gov/i-2081.cfm. For TAP help, visittax.idaho.gov/taphelp.
