PRAY FOR SAFETY OF DEREK THOMAS, LORI ENSKAYA, AND ORH STAFF IN UKRAINE. ORH STAFF WILL GO TO MUKACHEVO, LVIV, TERNOPIL, AND LUTZ
CHILDREN WILL BE CHILDREN - LIVING HOPE OF UKRAINE CHARITABLE FUND
ALL THE LITTLE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD!
Children are the same around the world. You give them a ball they kick it, bounce it, or throw it. They see a puddle; they must splash in it. They have a rock pile; they must climb to the top of it. Sadly, Ukrainian children must deal with the loss of family members in war.
Julie Thomas wrote, "One of our drivers arrived in Kharkiv and was eagerly greeted by smiling children who are staying in one of the five bomb shelters for which he is responsible. He was able to share a message of hope and encouragement from God’s Word. Before he finished, they were interrupted by nearby explosions. There are nearly 200 children in the shelters."
Julie wrote, "Our director was able to purchase 5,000 metric tons of buckwheat. It is estimated this can feed 30,000 people."
Julie wrote, "A new version of life goes on in the refugee camp in Lutsk where our director is hosting around 100 refugees. There is plenty of work for everyone and some are developing new talents, like cutting hair."
Julie wrote, "All refugees gather three times per week to hear the preaching of God’s Word."
Julie wrote, "I’m not sure if you can insert videos, but if you can, you will see some brothers singing a Christian song to a crowd and then running for cover as a missile is incoming." (click on picture above; then click play arrow, pause, click play arrow again)
SOROTI ORPHAN ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (SOAP), SOROTI, UGANDA
Paul and Jonathan training for motorcycle/vehicle repair.
ORH sends $100 per month to SOAP Ministry in Soroti, Uganda, for food for orphans. ORH physician assistant partner and friend, Alan Sutphen, along with his wife, Elena, direct the home.

Alan wrote the following, "We had six new orphans join us in January, all boys! None spoke English and the teachers have been challenged to get them to sit still and to even hold a pencil properly! Please pray that these boys: Robert, Stephen, Opio, Ocen, Onyait, and Okiror will adjust to their new home, come to salvation at an early age, and begin to thrive in school!

The vocational program launched in January and has gone well thus far. We have two of our teen boys, Paul, and Jonathan, in the motorcycle/vehicle mechanics program. They seem to be learning considerably, as the instructor has had them tearing down the motorcycle almost daily and amazingly it seems to get back together in almost one piece at the end of day!

There are still many documented Covid cases in the Soroti area. We pray for cases to decrease, but nevertheless I will not allow the children to go into town until these cases are significantly reduced. Please pray for this conclusion.
Your Fellow Servants for Souls,  ALAN AND ELENA SUTPHEN UGANDA, EAST AFRICA"

Pray for the children.
