Hello Butte County 4-H,
This message has essential information regarding updated safety guidelines since the State of California is now under a stay-at-home order. It is also to convey the current status of Butte County 4-H staff availability.
This portion will address staff availability and the next will address covid guidelines.
Some folks are already aware that everyone in my household contracted coronavirus in mid-November. Both while I was sick and after I was recovered I have been the primary caretaker to both of my parents and their household, primarily my father.
I want to extend special thanks to the Corron Family, Nick and Gail Bertagna, the Anchordoguy family, all of Lone Pine 4-H, and everyone else who has given us food and well wishes. The gratitude is humbling and very appreciated.
Since 11/24 m father has made seven separate trips to Enloe Medical Center amid myriad complications. This has forced me to take time off during an unfortunate period when our office is not fully staffed and we are without a 4-H Secretary. His future is uncertain, and every day is unique, but his overall prognosis looks good. I will communicate with CCL's and the 4-H community-at-large when my availability returns to normal.
Merry Christmas and/or Happy Holidays,
Ryan Cleland
