Mr. Borden "Bordie" McCloskey
February 19, 1946 - June 2, 2020

It is with deep sadness that we share that Mr. Borden "Bordie" McCloskey joined the Church Triumphant Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Bordie was a well loved and faithful member of Avondale for over 40 years! Due to our current circumstances concerning the pandemic, a celebration of life is postponed and arrangements will be shared at a later date.

The Confirmation class of 2020 has been diving deep into the tenants of our faith, meeting with Reverend Jim and also each with their mentors on this journey of discovery and growth. They will soon be ready to take the next step and join the church. We congratulate them for all of their hard work and dedication. We will look forward to celebrating with them when we can all worship together in person.

Avondale Children's Center Reopening
Our children’s center reopened last Tuesday, May 26, 2020. There are many new regulations that we must follow that the DHHS has set for us. An important one for you to know is that only staff and children will be allowed in the school per the DHHS regulations.
