Students of the Month:
Joy and Aubrey L.!
Our students of the month from November are Joy and Aubrey L.!

Joy is a student of teaching artist Ms. Anna and takes KO@Home violin lessons.

She loves playing music! She hopes to master the violin and learn to play many more instruments one day. 🎻

“I am excited because I am learning a lot – I like that music is more than sound. It’s feeling…it makes you feel different ways at different times,” says Joy.

Aubrey is a student of teaching artist Ms. Gabby and is enrolled in our KO@Home Foundations class. She loves her classes and singing along with her teacher! 🎶

“[KO] makes me feel like I have a place to do music out loud and play instruments,” says Aubrey.

We are so proud of Joy and Aubrey! Keep up the great work, girls! 👏
Meet Our New Intern:
Sydney E. Cooke
Please welcome our new Communications Intern, Sydney E. Cooke! 🌟

Sydney is currently a third-year student at Louisiana State University and is from Wheaton, Illinois.

She is pursuing a degree in flute performance and arts administration with a goal of ultimately working with a professional orchestra or nonprofit. 🎶

"I love the difference that [KO] makes in the Baton Rouge community! I was lucky enough to work with Kids’ Orchestra before as a substitute teacher, and I got to see first hand how amazing the students are and it really made me want to continue working with the organization,” says Sydney.

We are excited to have Sydney support our marketing and communications efforts now and into 2021!
