Dear Ursuline,
It was only a short while ago, when we all stepped back into the hallways of Ursuline Academy in the fall of 2021, and just like that we find ourselves now at the beginning of the end of the school year. As the days become a bit warmer and the sun shines a bit brighter, the hallways buzz with a sense of excitement and busyness that comes naturally with this time of year. We spring forward into a new season and in some ways, a new life as we as a community were called to do during our Easter Liturgy. However, while the days have grown a bit longer, they will still pass by just as quickly as the others.
From the last all-school mass, last show, last game, to last test and last class, they tend to come in quick succession. As we draw closer to the last few days and events for the Class of 2022, it is so bittersweet to see them prepare for their next journey. The Class of 2022 has been an integral part of leading Ursuline through a few strange years, and they have done so with spirit, positivity, and grace. These young women are resilient, flexible, and ready to take on the next challenge. We know that they are ready to share their light - their gifts, talents, and spirit - with the world. While we are sad to see them go, with it comes opportunities for our rising upperclassmen to share their light in new and exciting ways.
With all this in mind, my challenge to each member of the UA community is this: make these moments last. Be present and take in each special moment fully. Take a snapshot of your feelings and gratitude and never let it leave you, and never say goodbye.
Loyally,
