Dmitry Anopchenko, a Ukrainian journalist based in Washington DC, but with his wife and kids trapped in Kyiv, joined him.

The Global Security Institute condemns the Russian military action against Ukraine. It is as an act of aggression. It violates the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances of 1994 signed by Ukraine, Russia, US, and the UK and later adopted by France and China.

On 17 and 18 February, Jonathan Granoff, President of the Global Security Institute and a Council Member of the Parliamentarians for Nuclear Nonproliferation and Disarmament (PNND), represented PNND at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Hearings at the United Nations. Granoff addressed the Assembly three times, and in addition, presented a submission on behalf of PNND: “Political Support and Inclusive Responses to Sustainable Recovery.”
