NO TAX RATE INCREASE
We are pleased to announce that Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union High School District has just retired a considerable amount of debt. This has placed our districts in a favorable position to be able to pass the April 6, 2021 referendum questions for Lake Geneva-Genoa City Union High School District and Lake Geneva Joint #1 School District with NO TAX RATE INCREASE for our residents.
  • What does this mean?
  • If voters approve both the recurring funds operational question (Badger Q1) and the renovation to Badger High School (Badger Q2) as well as the recurring funds operational question for Lake Geneva Joint #1 (Joint #1 Q1), residents will see NO INCREASE in their tax rate.

Donate for College Scholarships for the Badger Class of 2021
The Badger Union High School Endowment Fund is making a community-wide appeal for donations to be used for college scholarships for the graduating seniors of the Class of 2021. Scholarships are awarded to well-rounded students who have achieved a high level of academic standing and have participated in extracurricular activities along with community involvement.

Our foundation has several scholarships that are endowed. We are working to build the fund of scholarships made possible through annual fundraising and donations. Help celebrate this proud community accomplishment with a gift of any size. Our well-deserving students have used their scholarships to attend accredited universities and technical colleges. Any gift large or small is appreciated.
100th Day of School
Central-Dension Celebrates!
On Wednesday, February 10th, we celebrated the 100th day of the school year! We are so appreciative of all of the hard work done by all of our staff, students, and families in working to stay healthy and keep our schools open!

While celebrations happened across the districts, over at Central-Denison Elementary School, Mrs. Kolb‘s first grade class visited Mrs. Isom’s kindergarten class to celebrate kindergarten being 100 days smarter and shared with the kindergartners about how they will learn to count to 120 in first grade.

LGMS Lettuce Grow
Hydroponic Farmstand
The Olympus Science classroom was nominated by LGMS staff member, Mrs. Gaby Bailey, to receive a Lettuce Grow hydroponic farmstand which was donated by the Lettuce Grow company. This amazing company donates one stand to a classroom for every ten stands that they sell. Lettuce Grow provided a 24-plant stand, nutrients, a pH testing kit, and seedlings to the class. Our own LGMS PTO generously donated the funds for the attached light rings.

Students have been learning about how the hydroponic farmstand works, the benefits of distributed agriculture, and about the plants that we voted on as a class and planted in the stand. We are also utilizing the farmstand plants in our Math Applications class to study measurement, data and statistics.
