I hope you are having a wonderful Advent season. Thank you for your continued support, especially during this very busy time.
Congratulations to our SMCS Spelling Bee winners listed below. Next week we will continue our Christmas fun with our Christmas performances and our Christmas pajama day.
This week was Ms. Polzer's last week working with the students. She will be greatly missed by all. I want to send a special thank you to her for all of her hard work and dedication for the SMCS community. We wish her well in her retirement.
If you are traveling outside of the state of Texas during the Christmas holidays, we ask that you provide a negative PCR COVID test before returning to school. The test should be taken once you have returned to the Houston area after your travels. Minute Maid Stadium offers free PCR COVID testing for those who make an appointment online, results take 24-72 hours to come back. Ascent Emergency Medical Center, 2280 Holcombe in Houston, offers the PCR test with same day results. Their phone number is 713-821-2360.
Here are some links to information about travel from the CDC:
Thank you again for all your support! Have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings,
Dr. Kathleen Cox
