Focus on IAGB's Partner Leherein
Mark Your calendars for Our Hindi Comedy Play: May 13
IAGB is partnering with New England Leherein to bring you a Hindi comedy play "...Chale Hans ki Chaal," directed by acclaimed local producer and director Avinash Padhye on Saturday, May 13, at Littleton High School, Littleton, MA. Proceeds will go toward charitable causes promoted by Leherein and IAGB. Last spring, Avinash had directed a hit Hindi play for IAGB, “Such aur Such ke Siva,” the presentation of which raised funds for IAGB’s charitable causes.
Starting as a dance group in 2001, Leherein also works to give back to the community by helping children in need. The group supports Abhaalmaya, managed by IIM Trust in Pune, India, and offers education and a balanced life to 10 resident children - six girls and four boys.
Leherein is a proponent of the "Home-Made Dabba" ("takeout food") concept. They offer home-cooked dishes for sale that according to their website, "will remind you of your favorite classics from back home."
Leherein members perform at events hosted by various New England organizations. They pursue their love for dancing while nurturing another passion, that of supporting a cause that is close to their hearts.
