Preservation Trust of Vermont
Libraries, Non-Profit Owned and
Public Buildings Retreat at the Grand Isle Lake House
Do you want to learn about grants and fundraising?  Is your non-profit organization working to attract volunteers or board members?  Is your library looking new ways to serve the community or struggling with an accessibility issue?  Is your Town Hall in need of restoration or repairs?

If so, please join us on May 22-23 for our first Preservation Retreat of 2017.

A Personal Approach to Preservation
The Preservation Retreats at the Grand Isle Lake House are designed to be interactive and project specific.  Your group will be asked to focus on an issue or challenge that once addressed, would help move your project to the next level.  You will be joined by others who are working on similar types of projects along with potential funders and technical assistance providers.

Our partners for the upcoming retreat include the Vermont Arts Council, the Vermont Division for Historic Preservation and the Vermont Community Development Program

Together we can help connect you with the resources you need to accomplish your goals.

Have more than one big issue or challenge?  Don't worry!  We have found that when groups working on similar types of projects get together, they learn from one another and find that the group discussions offer insights into your individual projects in ways that were not anticipated.

"The Preservation Retreat was a lovely and very informative interlude, a great combination of fun and work. I came away feeling optimistic about the remaining pieces of the Pawlet town hall puzzle."
 -- Elizabeth Gibson, Pawlet

All retreats begin at 3:00 pm and end after lunch the following day.  Space is limited to around 20 participants with a limited number of single rooms, so reservations should be made as early as possible. The 2017 costs are $95 for a shared room and $125 for a single room.  Pre-registration is required.

Projects at all stages of development are welcome.  If you are not sure if the upcoming retreat is the right fit for you, feel free to give me a call.   Lisa Ryan, 802-917-2994.
