Thank You for Your Generosity!

With your help, we ended up raising $16,412 for our Share the Light fund! Because of you, we are able to have a Sunday service each week, invest in our students and children, and serve others in our community.

This week we'll be combining Middle & High School Sunday School! Meet at the "Youth Ministry" flag in the center of the Horizon lobby at 10am for a combined youth Sunday school "fun day" with Lori Lindberg. Separate Middle & High School classes will resume on Sunday, January 19th.

Confirmation Resumes on Wednesday, January 29th at Horizon High School. Food will be served at 5:30pm, with class from 6 - 6:50pm.

January Youth Ministry Leadership Meeting

Our next Youth Ministry Leadership Team Meeting will be Wednesday, January 22 at 8pm at Panera Bread (Near 180th St. and W. Center Rd.). Please email

Registration is now open for the high school 2020 Summer Mission Trip to Nashville, TN. Cost is $495 per student and this will cover food, transportation and lodging. A $100 deposit per child is due by Tuesday, February 14 with the remaining $395 due

by April 1, 2020.

Looking for a part time job?

We are looking for an energetic, team oriented individual who has attention to detail to serve as our volunteer coordinator and Sunday morning administrator. This person will work closely with Pastor James and our volunteer teams to make sure our Sunday morning set up and tear down goes smoothly.

The position is 11 hours per week at $14.00 /hour and includes working on Sunday mornings. For questions, contact Pastor James at [email protected] , call / text (402)669-3340, or catch him after service on Sunday!

Mission Center Departure

After much discussion by our church leaders, in December we decided to release the Mission Center space back to the landlord and move the items we had there into a storage unit. We are so grateful for your generosity, because our offerings increased in 2019! However, we were not able to continue to afford the $2,300 monthly rent cost for the Mission Center space. We have recently received permission from Horizon High School to rent the building on weekdays, so we now have a lower cost alternative for meetings, worship services, and other classes and gatherings. This move will also allow us to invest more in ministry and programs, build back up our church reserve funds and continue to establish our church in a new and growing area of West Omaha. We are grateful for the time we were able to use the Mission Center and the good ministry that happened there. We also look forward to other potential facilities that will be available to us in the future as the expansion of West Omaha continues.
