Special Edition 8/9/2021

August 9th from 8am-4pm
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY!

You have until 4pm today to stop in at North Dover, South Dover or Towne Point Elementary School for
NO COST medical, dental or vision care!

The Central Delaware partnership for Hope, IRT started August 1st and as of this past weekend we exceeded
MORE THAN ONE MILLION DOLLARS
in Fair market Value of services to individuals in the area!

As things wrap up we would like to thank everyone involved, all of the military members who came, the volunteers, Capital School District and so many more for giving back and making such a large impact on our community!

On a side note:

As a volunteer for the event, it gave me great pride to be working side by side with so many who have chosen to serve our country.
It also gave me the opportunity to talk with individuals who came to receive services. They were so grateful, for many this was the first time they had been to the doctor in awhile.
Many, many thanks to all who participated!

Tech Tips from Our IT Director!

Personal laptops and computers are often targeted for security compromises. Public WiFi is provided by many businesses and organizations, but they do expose your devices to additional risk, especially if the devices don’t encrypt your data.
The link below lists vulnerabilities and ways to protect your wireless devices, which include laptops, tablets, and phones.
Take a look at a few basic steps:
  • Avoid accessing personal data (bank accounts, etc.)
  • on public Wi-Fi networks.
  • Keep your device’s software and applications up to date.
  • Do not click on unexpected links in emails, attachments, or texts.
  • Reboot all devices, including phones, on a regular basis (at least weekly)
  • Turn off communications (Bluetooth, AirDrop) that are not necessary when in public.
  • Don’t use personal information when naming your device (Frank’s iPhone, etc.)
