Louisiana CU Hall of Fame Induction Goes Virtual with Special Tribute
The Louisiana Credit Union Hall of Fame program is excited to announce our first-ever virtual induction ceremony, giving colleagues, family and friends from all over an opportunity to see the 2020 inductees receive the recognition they have earned.

Sponsored by the Louisiana CU Foundation, the Louisiana CU Hall of Fame recognizes the valuable leadership, commitment, dedication, and contributions of credit union professionals and volunteers throughout the state. They have given their time, talents, and ingenuity in order to enhance and strengthen the credit union movement.

Traditionally, these gatherings brought new and past inductees together during our annual meeting and convention each year. Due to the virtual format of our event, inductees will be recognized during a special ceremony being live-streamed on the afternoon of Thursday, August 6. This year, we are excited to share that it will not be the emcee announcing the names but, instead, someone near and dear to the inductee. A special video will be shared with all attendees to see.

Deadline for 2020 induction: July 24, 2020. Click here to nominate someone today.

Federal and State Regulatory Agencies Issue Examiner Guidance Considering the Effect of the COVID-19
The four federal agencies in conjunction with the state bank and credit union regulators issued examiner guidance to promote consistency and flexibility in the supervision and examination of financial institutions affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. No action on the part of supervised institutions is required.

Stresses caused by the spread of COVID-19 have led to significant economic strain and adversely affected global financial markets. The interagency guidance instructs examiners to consider the unique, evolving, and potentially long-term nature of the issues confronting institutions due to the COVID-19 pandemic and to exercise appropriate flexibility in their supervisory response.
