Virtual Substitute to Intensive Portuguese Abroad for Spanish Teachers Program

The Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at The Ohio State University, along with Columbus State Community College, are completing the virtual substitute for Intensive Portuguese Abroad for Spanish Teachers (IPAST), a program in Portuguese language and linguistics.

Remixing Black and Mexican Histories

The Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at The Ohio State University, along with Borough of Manhattan Community College and Columbus State Community College, are excited to announce a webinar on July 27, 2021 (1-3pm) with William Garcia-Medina, Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of American Studies at the University of Kansas. He will be discussing a curriculum he co-created, which centers Afro-Mexican history, people, and culture and the intertwined histories of African American and Mexican American communities in the US and Mexico.
