Children’s Ministry Programs
The Nursery is the place for Advent Anticipation, with simple coloring pages and child-friendly nativity play sets. Children's Chapel begins Advent by lighting the The Prophets' Candle of Hope, as we learn the Godly Play Lesson about Isaiah who foretold the birth of the Savior in Bethlehem. Our Parish Advent Wreath-Making will double as an Advent Shepherding Sunday, so that children may join with their families in making Advent wreaths and decorating Christmas ornaments immediately after the 10 AM Holy Eucharist.

The Gift of Advent Prayer: Our Godly Play students have made miniature Advent wreaths and prayer scrolls for our fellow parishioners who worship at 8 AM and 5 PM. Please pick up one, along with your pew bulletin, and enjoy using it as, together, we pray our way to Christmas. Our children are" lifting up to the Lord" each member of our Christ Church family.
Youth Group
Youth Group will not meet this Sunday. Please enjoy wreath making!

Arcola Kids Holiday Gift Project Put on your Santa Hat and pick an ornament from the Outreach display to shop for holiday gifts for our Arcola Kids!

We have 70 kids who are hoping for holiday surprises. Record your name and phone # on the clipboard list that has your ornament number. Like all kids, each child has many wishes - please donate from their list according to your budget -- for instance a shirt and pants set and a toy or game or a Target gift card -- even Santa does not bring everything on a kid's list!
Deadline is DECEMBER 16TH - PLEASE BRING DONATIONS AS SOON AS CONVENIENT (before and not on the 16th)

Arcola Winter Pantry Bags We will be providing Pantry Bags for 38 Arcola Familes. Bags with beans, canned veggies and fruit, pasta and sauce, etc. help stretch family budgets during period when school is closed and kids don't have access to school meals. A list of preferred food items is on the other Outreach table and the deadline is also the 16th! The families very much appreciate this effort.
