Job Description
The Financial Analyst performs Financial Management and Program Control functions associated with contracts managed by Program Finance Department 626.
These responsibilities include:
- Performance measurement and variance analysis
- Communicate with Cost Account Managers
- Create and update Daily, Weekly, Monthly reports
- Estimate at Complete development
- Budget development and maintenance
- Preparation of cost reports to support both internal and external customers
- Input to Finance Systems for Indicated Profit, Sales Orders and Backlog
- Manpower Plan and Operating Plan development
- Shop order control
- Monitoring subcontractor contracts including requisition review and approval
- Preparation of billing instructions for submittal to Cash Management
Education/ Experience
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin. or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically pivot tables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior Electric Boat internship or co-op experience
- Experience in government contract cost control
- Experience with Earned Value Management
Skills
- This person must be interested in and capable of analyzing data with minimum supervision.
- Applicant must have good writing and speaking skills in order to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Applicant should possess a considerable amount of initiative and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint is also preferable.
- Knowledge of EB Systems (WAF/DLB,Accounting, Planning, Mainframe MRP, Purchasing and Inventory) is a plus.
- Previous experience working with large data sets is also a plus.
