KDS Senior Named Bryant-Jordan Scholar
KDS senior Ryan Buchanan has been named the 4A Region 7 Scholar Athlete by the Bryant-Jordan Scholarship Foundation. Ryan has played point guard on the Varsity Basketball Team since his freshman year and recently earned All County Honorable Mention. He also plays baseball and is a member of the track and cross-country teams.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Ryan is a stellar student as well. He has a 4.3 GPA and scored 33 on the ACT. He will be attending UAH on academic scholarship in the fall to major in biomedical sciences and hopes to have a career as an optometrist. 
Pre-K Students
Get Ready for "Big School"
As the school year nears its end, the Pre-K teachers plan activities to help their students prepare for next school year’s transition to the Elementary School, which they lovingly call “the Big School.”
KDS Seniors Sign Cheer Scholarships
Two members of the KDS DAR High School Cheer Team recently accepted scholarship offers to Snead State Community College. Seniors Mason Walker and Caroline Largen will be cheering for the Parsons in the fall.
