WATCHING THE EQUALITY ACT
The Equality Act is a critical piece of federal legislation that will update existing federal nondiscrimination laws, including the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Fair Housing Act, to confirm that discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity is unlawful. We are closely monitoring the progress of the legislation and will be sharing resources highlighting ways for foundations to respond in the coming weeks.
