ESC of Lake Erie West Resident Educator Consortium
Resident Educator Year 1 Monthly Update
December 2020
We hope that you and your loved ones are able to safely enjoy the holidays and that you take the time to rest and rejuvenate after an incredibly stressful semester.

Be sure to mark your calendar for your next session. The next RE Year 1 session will be on Tuesday, January 19 from 4:30-6:00pm via Zoom. The Zoom link for the meeting will be posted on the Google Site approximately 24 hours prior to the meeting, and you will receive an email as well.
Mentor Certificates of Attendance
If you are a Resident Educator Mentor and would like a certificate of attendance for the past two meetings, please email Kim Sofo or Liz Kregel so that we can email certificates to you.
A Reminder
As a first year teacher, it's a good time to remind yourself of the Professional Code of Conduct, especially because we are working in and out of remote settings. It is imperative that we do not get lax with maintaining our professional behavior. Check out the link!
Resources for You
Resident Educator Monthly Update
This monthly Resident Educator e-news is designed to provide you with helpful information and resources. Residency is a time to practice, refine and gain a deeper understanding of the art and science of teaching under the guidance of a certified mentor and the support of a professional learning community. You will be receiving monthly updates that highlight where you should be in the program and also offer helpful resources.
Meeting Cancellations Due to Weather or Other Circumstances

RE sessions will be held as scheduled unless there are extreme conditions that interfere. This would be a rare occurrence. If a session is cancelled or changed, participants will be notified by email from the ESC of Lake Erie West by 2 p.m. so be sure to check your email prior to leaving school.
If you have questions, contact Kim Sofo or Elizabeth Kregel, Professional Development Consultants with the ESC of Lake Erie West.
