Joy to the World The Lord has come!

Check out this Christmas greeting from the Francis Court Families!!!
What have the residents been up to?
The FaithWorks staff and dedicated community members have been working hard to maintain as much normalcy as possible despite shaky times.
Classes and case management continue with safety measures in place. In December, residents got hands on during a wreath making class with staff on Zoom. For many, it was the first time making a homemade wreath but not the last. Everyone was so happy with the finished product. Craft supplies were purchased thanks to generous donations collected on North State Giving Tuesday! Between NVCSS's Adopt-A-Family, Toys for Tots, Tina & Friends, Back from Hell, Mike and Jo, First United Methodist Church, Linda and First Christian Church, all of the families have bountiful gifts under their trees this year. Two families even received fresh cut trees and decorations from Impact of Networking!
Another testament that God surely provides!
In the last 3 months, we have provided housing to 5 new homeless families!!!

It has been a busy season with 4 of the 5 former Francis Court households securing permanent housing. All of the units were cleaned, painted and re-carpeted thanks to a grant provided by the McConnel Foundation of the Community Foundation of the North State.
See the video below created by a one of our former residents! We are so happy for this beautiful momma!
What about the Veterans?
They were blessed too!
Our House of Cornelius residents faced heightened isolation due to the pandemic. They are considered in the high risk category and chose to stay indoors as much as possible. Many of their regular activities came to a screeching halt at the onset of shut downs.
These brave men who once served our country, are now fighting to keep their spirits high. FaithWorks continues to minister to them, help them search for adequate permanent housing, as well as set and reach additional goals.
This holiday season, it has truly been a community effort to bless these men! Gifts of all shapes and sizes have been pouring in from a Pathway Church compassion project. In addition, the Redding Host Lions, Gwen (Volunteer of the Year), The Palo Cedro Community, Ralph and Sherry with the Elks and Nation's Finest have all contributed to help make this a bright holiday for these men!

Thank you to those who helped bring them joy!!
