Girls Varsity Soccer

The BA girls varsity soccer team was finally able to kick off its title defense this past week. On Saturday, April 9, the Blue Knights lost to Elkhorn 4-1. BA turned it around in its next game defeating #4 ranked Kenosha St. Joseph 3-1 in BA's home opener on Monday, April 11. The girls stay atop the Division 4 rankings for week 2.

Boys Varsity Tennis

Last Saturday, the boys varsity tennis team took on tough competition, winning one and losing two duels on the day, playing against three Division 1 schools. BA's first opponent was #8 ranked Mukwonago. BA lost four matches to three. The Blue Knights bounced back nicely, beating Germantown five matches to two. Lastly, #7 ranked Madison West got the best of BA six matches to one. It was a long day for the Blue Knights, but the tough competition helps the team learn moving forward.

The #2 doubles team of Garv Bhasin/Sanjit Madireddi, #3 doubles team of Peyton Zeiler/Krish Sharma, along with #1 singles Adrian Yin and #2 singles Rohan Singh, all went 2-1 over the weekend. BA remains at the top spot in the Division 2 team rankings for week 2.

Varsity Baseball

The varsity baseball team was finally able to kick off its season last week. On Friday, April 8, BA played host to Brookfield East at American Family Field. In a closely contested game early on, BA surrendered runs late in the game and was unable to get offensive momentum. As the game completed, BA fell 5-1.

The following day BA traveled to USM to take on another local foe, Brookfield Central. In a back and forth game, BA was unable to secure the lead, losing 8-7.

The Blue Knights kicked off the conference opener at home against St. Francis. In another tight game, BA brought the winning run to the plate in the bottom half of the 7th, but was unable to capitalize.

The pitching staff has been the story so far for the team. Nolan Kahle, Alex Star, Michael Hoefgen, and Parker Dysart have all been solid for the Blue Knights early in the season. Multiple Blue Knights have contributed offensively. The highlight in last night’s game was a two run homerun hit by Dylan Rosado to bring the game to one score.

Thank you to Rick and Lori Star for providing the team with a one-of-a-kind experience at American Family Field. It was enjoyed by players, coaches, and fans alike.
