Christians across the country will be finding God in their daily lives when the Church of England’s Everyday Faith campaign launches on Plough Sunday in 2020. On January 12 the national Church will begin offering reflections and prayers to help people find and follow God in the everyday, as part of this new discipleship campaign.

A grand parade brightened grey skies above Ripon Cathedral as walkers on the traditional Boxing Day Pilgrimage to Fountains Abbey were joined by the German Bishop of Hanover. Bishop Ralf, an honorary Ecumenical Canon of the Cathedral, joined hundreds for the St Stephen's Day Eucharist, followed by the Boxing Day Pilgrimage to Fountains Abbey.

Christmas tree festivals, carols by candlelight, Christingles and many more festive events drew thousands to cathedrals and churches across our diocese to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Unlike any other time of the year, Christmas provides churches with a valuable opportunity to reach out to those in their communities to share the hope that Christ came into the world.

A first look inside the former night club set to become
Bradford’s new city centre church
shows there’s lots of work to do. Since the Revolution nightclub closed its doors more than three years ago, it has suffered much damage and abuse due to vandalism.
A clean-up operation is well under way.

Halifax Minster will be marking 75 years of Holocaust Memorial Day at a special event on January 27. Holocaust Memorial Day is held each year on the day the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated by Allied forces in 1945, during World War II. The event at Halifax Minster will also be commemorating 25 years since the Bosnian Genocide.

A specially-tailored course on church planting is to be run in Leeds early this year. The Plant Course is a seven-session programme designed to equip church planters and their teams in the three to 9 months leading up to their plant and is being run at St
George’s, Leeds in February.

A recent march from Wakefield Cathedral has been held to commemorate a battle that changed the course of the country’s history.
The Battle of Wakefield Memorial March
, on December 29, marked the historic 1460 event that claimed hundreds of lives and was a decisive moment in the Wars of the Roses.

The Rainbow Junction Cafe opened its doors in 2014 as part of The Real Junk Food Project network, at All Hallow's Church, Leeds. This Christmas they are continuing their work to reduce food waste, feed hungry people and build community.
