Vote on Favorite Main St. Holiday Decorations
|

Vote for your favorite Warner Main Street Business and Organization holiday display at https://kearsargechamber.org/ The winners get bragging rights for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and voters get a chance to win prizes! Kearsarge Area Chamber of Commerce will give gift certificates for local businesses valued at $25 each, to six randomly drawn names from the people that voted. In order to win, you must leave your name, email address, or phone number. The KACC will not use this contact information for anything other than drawing winners and will delete the information afterward. Leaving your contact information is optional. Voting closes on Monday December 21, 2020 at noon. Drawing will be held on Monday December 21, 2020 at 1PM.
The Warner Historical Society will be lighting their Menorah display "candles" for Hannukah, starting tonight (Dec. 10). Happy Hanukkah!

Warner Property tax payments are due postmarked by December 14, 2020, or you can put your check in the drop box slot in the front door of Town Hall. Include an SAE if you want a receipt. If you must pay with cash, please make an appointment.
Warner's new Land Use Administrative Assistant is Janice Loz, formerly the chair of the Zoning Board of Adjustment. Janice will resign from the ZBA, and one of the alternates will be appointed to fill that position.
Emergency alerts for Warner were sent out last weekend about roads blocked by fallen trees and wires in four locations in Town: Collins Road, Schoodac Road, Mason Hill Road and Warner Road in Salisbury.

Kearsarge Regional School District
A letter was also released Dec. 3 about a Simonds School staff person testing positive for Covid-19. Contact exposure was minimal since KRSD was on remote learning for all classes for the 2 weeks following Thanksgiving break.
In preparation for the Kearsarge Regional School District Deliberative Session which is on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Kearsarge Regional High School in Sutton, Warner Supervisors of the Checklist will be in public session at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021 at Warner Town Hall to accept additions, deletions and corrections to the voter Checklist.
If you are a new resident or need to make changes to your voter registration, ring the doorbell at the side door.

You can currently find thousands of free magazines from multiple countries, in multiple languages at nh.overdrive.com or by using the Libby for Overdrive app - or if you use a Windows device regularly, use libbyapp.com for the same app features.
Checking out these magazines does not count as part of your 3 title checkout limit for ebooks and audio books. The new "Article view" is an easy way to read these.
To see the collections in English language by topic, you can select "collections' on the home page then look at the list under Magazines.

Warner 4-H Club is a local community 4-H club open to youth ages 5 to 18. Our club projects include Foods & Nutrition, Clothing & Textiles, Arts & Crafts, Community Service, Youth Leadership, and others dependent upon our volunteer leaders. "Buy it Now Auction" sale of items donated to the Circle of Friends of the Library has been moving along well!. Do you want something unique to give as a gift, AND support our Library? Images of the sale items are on the Library Facebook page, with prices.
If you see an item you want to purchase, simply call Louise Holt 456-2942, and she will reserve it for you. You will be able to pick up the item at another member's home a mile from the library. Buy a unique gift, AND support our Library!

Still time to buy tickets for the RAFFLE! One of our Christmas Cacti which is just coming into seasonal bloom, and is in a white ceramic pot.
Tickets can be purchased at our online store, (staff will fill out a physical ticket for the drawing), or contact library staff for curbside ticket purchase. Proceeds benefit the Library. $5 each or five for $20. Hurry!
Drawing for the winner will be held at the Dec. 15 Trustees Zoom meeting, at 7 pm.
