ICYMI: ArmorWorks Signs 70,000 SF Lease to Expand and Relocate Headquarters in Chandler
ArmorWorks has signed a 70,000 square foot lease in Chandler at the recently completed Lotus Project, which is located near the northwest corner of Kyrene Road and Loop 202. The company will consolidate their headquarters, including Engineering, R&D and Admin departments, plus certain manufacturing operations to the new facility.

ArmorWorks is a defense and security company that designs and manufactures various types of protective technologies. The company was founded more than 20 years ago and this expansion will increase their headcount from 125 employees to 210 employees.

"The City of Chandler is thrilled that ArmorWorks chose to expand in West Chandler, our second-largest employment corridor," stated Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. "We would also like to thank Conor Commercial [developer of Lotus Project] and all of the developers that continue to drive economic growth in Chandler."

Join Us in Chandler for PHX East Valley Innovates Week
PHX East Valley Innovates is a new regional initiative focused on educating, developing and inspiring local entrepreneurs and helping small businesses grow. Each year, a week-long series of events will be held across six East Valley cities to bring this community together.

During this inaugural year, the program will kick off on Monday, Feb. 10, with a networking reception here in Chandler. Join us from 5 to 7 p.m. at QuartHaus to meet and mingle with other entrepreneurs and startup resource providers. This event is free to attend but registration is required. The first 50 registrants will receive all-inclusive tickets to PHX Startup Week (must be present to collect tickets) and the first 100 registrants to arrive will receive a free drink ticket.

On Tuesday, Feb. 11, return to Chandler for an interactive workshop on "Building Intentional Culture". Lee Benson, founder and CEO of Execute to Win , will teach you how to build a company culture that drives positive financial results. Whether you are just starting a business or already leading a company with a handful of employees, this is a workshop you will not want to miss. Following the workshop, enjoy a catered networking lunch with fellow entrepreneurs and business executives. The event will be held at the ASU Chandler Innovation Center, 249 E. Chicago St., from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Space is limited, so registration is required.

Celebrate Science at the Annual Chandler Science Spectacular Festival
Join the City of Chandler in celebrating the exploration of invention by attending Chandler Science Spectacular . This free, annual event showcases businesses, artists, students and innovators in the community as Chandler participates in the statewide Arizona SciTech Festival. This year's festivities will be held in Downtown Chandler on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Chandler Science Spectacular uses 'sneaky science' to entertain the whole family while explaining how science is important to daily life. Check out interactive demonstrations by Chandler's technology companies along with the next generation of science from University of Arizona, Arizona State University and more.

Local K-12 schools and organizations have once again been invited to participate in the Annual Chandler Science Spectacular Competition. Six winning teams will each be awarded a $500 prize for the most educational, most creative and most passionate projects.

Public Art Project Livens up Intersections in Uptown Chandler
On your next drive through Uptown Chandler, look for public art at intersections along Arizona Avenue and Alma School Road. The Chandler-inspired artwork was designed by Arizona-based artists, selected through a Call for Artists process that attracted more than 40 submissions. This project is part of the City's broader Uptown Chandler initiative, which seeks to raise awareness of this vibrant part of our community to champion positive growth and continued economic vitality.
