Tired Of 5-Day Weeks, Don't Worry
It's been quite a grind since the start of the new year (last week), but we're closed Monday, January 20 in honor of Martin Luther King Day.
Invest In Kids Scholarship Applications Open WEDNESDAY
The State of Illinois Invest In Kids scholarship program is now in its third year and the process to apply for a scholarship for the 2020-21 school year is slightly different this year:
  • This year, the reservation form is available at 6:30 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, January 15 to give families time to enter their information before submission at 7:00 p.m.
  • The reservation will have two pages. On page one, you will enter basic information, such as parent name, student name, and contact information. On page two, you will review this information and click submit.
  • Only after clicking submit on page two will you receive your first come, first-served timestamp.
  • On January 17, you will be notified by email when part two of the application opens. You can complete this step whenever you are able to ensure accuracy, but Empower Illinois encourages you to submit your application before January 27 for the best chance at receiving a scholarship.
  • More information is available on the "How Do I Apply" page of the Empower Illinois website.

If you'd like to make a contribution to the scholarship fund and benefit our students, please direct your gift to Central Catholic. You receive a 75% credit on your donation which means if you contribute $1,000, you receive a state tax credit of $750. The credit is non-refundable, but can be carried forward for five years.
Respect Life Mass January 21
You are invited to join us in prayer for an end to abortion and a greater respect for all human life at our annual Respect Life Mass at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21 in our Chapel. The Mass also serves as way to send-off our students who leave on their March for Life Washington DC pilgrimage the next day.
Attention Junior Parents!
Junior Parents are responsible for planning After Prom and your first planning meeting is Tuesday, January 21 in the Student Center at 5:45 p.m. (following the Respect Life Mass). Prom is Saturday, April 25 and this committee always has a lot of fun; so come out and help plan After Prom 2020! E-mail Xandra Lee to sign up.
It's Enrollment Time
Please Help Us Share This information
We are already talking to eighth grade families about attending Central Catholic High School next fall. You play one of the most important roles in bringing families to our school and I ask that you always be ready to share your story and encourage families to talk to me. Here is a flyer with several upcoming Future Saints activities. Please share it electronically or print a few out and hand them to families considering our school. As always, you can ask them to contact me via cell phone (309-533-2200) or e-mail ( svogel@blmcchs.org). You can also direct them to our online application for new students. Thank you in advance for all of your help!
