Farmers in Alberta are now able to recycle grain bags and twine under a three-year pilot program. AUMA is one of 20 organizations that secured funding from the Government of Alberta to operate the program and its collection sites.

The Zero Plastic Waste Initiative is a grant available to organizations, including municipalities, for projects that aim to reduce plastic waste and pollution in Canada. Funding from $25,000 to $250,000 is available from the Government of Canada. The deadline for submitting a project proposal is March 2, 2020. More details on the program and how to apply can be found
