On December 4, the Pennsylvania Department of Health aligned its quarantine guidance for asymptomatic people exposed to COVID-19 with new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Instead of quarantining for 14 days, these individuals may now break quarantine after 10 days, or after seven days if they receive a negative COVID-19 test on or after day five of the quarantine.
This guidance does not apply to health care settings or those living in certain congregate settings such as nursing homes or prisons.
