Choir Schedule Updates
Children's Choir (1st-4th Grades) is singing in the 8:00am worship service this Sunday, May 15th.
Please arrive at 7:50. Students report to the music room, but will sit with families during the service.

Please note the following change from the music calendar:
Choirs and handbells will not be participating in graduation.
Congratulations to Landon Willett for being the state winner in Illinois for 8th grade in Handwriting this school year. Landon's entry will move on to the national level. Stay tuned!

Ladybugs and Dragonflies - High Five!
A big thank you to the 2nd semester Ladybugs and Dragonflies! Their tasks included changing the outdoor school sign weekly, office helpers, and classroom helpers. We recognize 3rd graders: Giuliana Nagle, LaCarrion Brown, Lilly Gregory, and Mason Zeman.
4th graders are: Delilah Cook, Adi Santiago, Eva Borges, Lisbeth Perez, Patrick Anisi, Macie Thomas, Cecilia Aceves, Diego Santiago, Adeline Schmidt, Joey Garbarz, Issac Carey, Katie Wozniak, and Dean Daly. 

We’ll celebrate their service on May 24th from 3:00 to 3:30 in the library. 
Hot Dog Day Lunch Order
Monday, May 23rd
On Monday, May 23rd, the PTO is offering a Hot Dog Day lunch to order. You may order 1 or 2 hotdogs. Each meal will also include 1 bag of plain chips.
We will NOT have extra entrees available to purchase that day!

Orders are due no later than 9:00am on Wednesday, May 18th.

Volunteers are needed to help with this lunch.

Cemetery Spring Clean up Day
Our spring Cemetery Clean-up Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, from 8:30 am until noon. If you can help, please let Jeff Baker know by email (jwbaz@aol.com) or phone/text (708-446-9567).
This will count towards volunteer hours for school.
Please bring a grass or leaf rake, and work gloves.

Double your Donation to St. John’s!

Volunteer Hours
As a reminder, all families, preschool-8th grade, are required to complete five (5) hours of volunteer service. Any family receiving financial assistance from St. John's Lutheran School will be required to complete ten (10) hours of volunteer service. Those families not completing their hours by May 13, 2022 will be charged a fee of $250.00.
Many families still need to complete their volunteer hours. If you need to know where you stand with your hours, please email the school office: school@stjohnslagrange.org

We will have burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches (homemade by D.R.BBQ, Mr. Fritz), root beer floats and more, all served to you in your car or there will be a seating area. All donations will go to support our National Youth Gathering Team’s trip to Houston, Texas.
