Important Websites for High School Families

1: From the Interim Principal
Greetings SLP Students and Families,

Hybrid is here at 50%. All grade levels will be welcomed back by our excited staff next week. Cohort A (Last Names A - K) are in person on Monday and Tuesday and Cohort B (Last Names L - Z) are in person on Thursday and Friday. Wednesdays continue as Student Feedback Day. Several Cohort C students (distance learners) come to school on Wednesdays to work with their teachers. They have told us they feel safe coming to school on these days, due to small numbers of people in the building. If you wish to come to school on Wednesdays, talk with your teacher. Any student is welcome to request time or support from their teachers, online or in person, as we enter into this hybrid learning phase and continue to navigate this pandemic. Please continue to tell us what you need to be successful. We care about what you have to say!

Effective Monday, we will again have three lunch shifts. Be sure to check your schedule in PowerSchool to know which lunch shift to attend. Lunch shifts are based on 5th period class. Click here for schedule. To ensure distancing, lunch tables and chairs have been extended into the auditorium foyer and front hallway.

Our staff will be teaching both the students in their classrooms and the students who are learning from home according to the schedule below. This multimodal delivery method is challenging for staff and for students but we have overcome many obstacles before and we will continue to work to find creative solutions to barriers as we focus on what is best for kids and their learning. We are #parkPRIDE strong!
Kindly,

Wendy Loberg
Interim Principal

18: A message from Health Services Regarding COVID-19
In an effort to keep our community’s COVID-19 spread down, the District will continue to follow guidelines set in place by the Minnesota Department of Health. Although COVID rates are decreasing, Hennepin County continues to have high levels of community transmission (defined by the Minnesota Department of Health as greater than 10 cases per 10,000).
Students and staff should not come to school if they are ill or if anyone in their household is ill. The District continues to follow a 10 day isolation period for individuals with illness symptoms and a 14 day quarantine for those exposed to COVID-19 or exposed to an ill household member.

We ask that students and staff report illness symptoms to their school health office. Health office staff will review exclusion guidance and determine isolation and/or quarantine dates. The illness exclusion document that is used in our schools can be viewed here.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students, staff, and community safe.
19: Notice of Exclusion for Immunization Non-Compliance
St. Louis Park Public Schools requires compliance with the Minnesota State Immunization Law (M.S. 121A.15). In anticipation of high school students returning to in-person learning, your student must be up-to-date on immunizations, or provide the appropriate legal exemption form. Your student will not be able to attend school in-person until the appropriate documentation is provided.

If you have questions please contact the Health Office at 952-928-6108 contact Susanne Otos at otos.susanne@slpschools.org or Anjonette Scott at scott.anjonette@slpschools.org.
