I hope this finds you all healthy and safe. As we advance through the phases to reopen our economy, I will continue to provide you with periodic updates to keep you apprised of available resources and trusted sources of information during the public health crisis.

SPECIAL COVID-19 UPDATE
Residents 16+ years Eligible for Vaccine on April 19
On April 19, all residents aged 16 and above become eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination in Massachusetts. To sign up for a vaccination appointment:
  • Preregister at VaccineSignUp.mass.gov to schedule an appointment at a mass vaccination or regional collaborative location;
  • Use VaxFinder.mass.gov to search for appointments at pharmacies, health care providers, and other community locations.

Appointments are offered based on eligibility and availability of appointments at nearby locations. Learn more here.

Please note that it takes several weeks for people to be notified that an appointment is available at a mass vaccination site. Appointments are scheduled as vaccine doses become available. The federal government anticipates shipping an increased vaccine supply to all states soon.
Commuter Rail Now Operating on Spring 2021 Schedule
Effective April 5, the MBTA commuter rail began operating on the Spring 2021 schedule. The Spring 2021 schedule provides more trains during the middle of day, in an effort to provide more consistent service options, and is an overall service increase compared to the previous Winter Schedule.

Responsive to rider feedback, the MBTA preserved weeknight service after 9 PM. Bicycles will continue to be permitted on all trains across all lines as part of the Spring 2021 schedule. Read more about the changes from the MBTA press release here or go to mbta.com/commuterrail.
Guidance for People Who are Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19
ALERT! Prevention measures are still necessary for individuals who are fully vaccinated, while we wait for more people to be vaccinated.

If you go out for essentials:
✓ Avoid crowds
✓ Stay 6 feet away from others
✓ Don’t shake hands or hug
✓ Wear a face covering or mask!
