CAH Recognition Request for Nomination
Do you know of a critical access hospital (CAH) that has implemented an innovative approach to care coordination that is worthy of recognition? If so, please consider nominating them for Critical Access Hospital Recognition, an initiative of TASC, a program of the National Rural Health Resource Center (The Center), and supported by FORHP.
The purpose of the CAH Recognition initiative is to capture best practices and recognize the innovative work being done in CAHs across the country. It is also an opportunity for state Flex Coordinators to highlight the support state Flex Programs are providing to CAHs.
Based on scoring criteria listed below, chosen CAHs will each receive a certificate of recognition. They will also be profiled in this newsletter, promoted on The Center's social media platforms, and a press release will be sent to the communities in which the CAHs reside.
Please plan to present the certificate of recognition in person. We also encourage you to gather a few quotes as well as take pictures of the event for the above promotional purposes.

New Resource: 2020 State Flex Profiles
space
Thank you to everyone who completed the annual update of the State Flex Profiles, maintained by TASC, in coordination with FORHP. We are pleased to announce that 39 of 45 Flex states updated the information on their profile. The State Flex Profiles can be found on the
TASC website.
State Flex Profiles showcase the beneficial activities occurring at the state-level to support critical access hospitals (CAHs) and their communities around the country. No two states have the same approaches and the profiles are updated annually as an opportunity for states to share their excellent work and to learn from one another. The profiles include information on the work occurring in the six Flex Program areas as well as successes, best practices, and innovations. Use the State Flex Profiles to identify approaches to similar rural health issues, identify best practice opportunities, and access contact information for individuals at the state-level who are supporting Flex Program activities.
States that did not submit updated profile content will only have contact information on their State Flex Profile. Should a state wish to update their profile, it can be done by completing the State Flex Profile questionnaire.
