Mark your calendars Sept. 21-26 for Westchester Magazine’s Wine & Food Festival. This annual event recognizes the culinary spirit of Westchester with 100+ top local restaurants and world-class wines. From the popular Burger & Beer Blast to the iconic Grand Tasting Village, it is an extravaganza that is sure to please every palate. MTA makes getting to the festival stress-free. Kensico Dam Plaza is a quick walk from Valhalla Station on the Metro-North Harlem Line and Playland Park is a short bus trip from Rye Station on the New Haven Line. Buy your tickets and extend your stay.  
Hit the Beach (with a Twist)
Beat the heat and head to Playland Beach, in Rye, open daily 10 am to 6:30 pm through Sept. 6. Soak up some rays and listen to music on the beach during DJ Day Saturdays, noon to 4 pm. Another fun option is Croton Point Beach, on the Hudson River, open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, 10 am to 6:30 pm. DJ Day: Saturday, Aug. 21, noon to 4 pm. Rain date: Sunday, Aug. 22
Jazz it Up
Westchester’s favorite jazz festival, JazzFest, returns live to White Plains this September. From Sept. 9 to 12, ArtsWestchester, the City of White Plains and the White Plains BID welcome audiences back to see established jazz greats, as well as rising stars.
