Filmstock festival success

Thanks to our support and funding Filmstock returned to Luton last week after a ten year hiatus.

The four-day festival, funded by Luton BID, drew in packed audiences, with everything from short films and documentaries to exhibitions, podcasts and music.

Chair of Luton BID, Gavin O’Brien, said: “Filmstock had such a massive cultural impact on the town in the 2000s so we are proud to have been able to help bring it back to Luton."
Lighting Up Luton

Special guests PJ Masks™ entertained the crowds on Saturday (November 23) ahead of Luton's Christmas lights switch-on.

Families and fans met Catboy, Owlette and Gekko completely free of charge, thanks to Luton BID.

In the build-up to the switch-on there was also a stage packed with local artists and performers, arranged by Lee Drummond and Luton in Harmony.

Luton Youth Music Funk Orchestra performed, joined by the Mayor of Luton and Luton’s Best Award winners Courtney Powdrill, Jordan Thomas and Rana Miah.
