CCSNJ Hires Hilary Beckett, Former Cabinet Liaison to Governor Murphy
The Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey (CCSNJ) is excited to announce the addition of Hilary Beckett to the Chamber team as the organization's manager of government affairs. Ms. Beckett will serve as CCSNJ's primary lobbyist in Trenton and is responsible for the planning and execution of CCSNJ's policy committee meetings.
 
Most recently, Ms. Beckett served as cabinet liaison in the Office of Governor Phil Murphy. In this role, Ms. Beckett was the principal point of contact between the front office and various cabinet departments including the Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Board of Public Utilities, Department of Environmental Protection, Office of the Secretary of Higher Education and several others. She was also responsible for ensuring each department properly executed the administration's policy initiatives and assisted in the execution of the department's long and short-term objectives.
 
Prior to her role in the Murphy Administration, Ms. Beckett served as chief of staff to Senator Troy Singleton of the Seventh Legislative District.

Ms. Beckett holds a Bachelor of Science in political science, with a concentration in international studies, from Rowan University. She currently resides in Bordentown, NJ.

CCSNJ Announces Promotions of Mary Bennett and Josephine Tanopo
CCSNJ is also pleased to announce the promotions of two dedicated team members. Mary Bennett has been promoted into the new role of director of member experience. Ms. Bennett will serve as the primary customer service liaison with CCSNJ members, and lead efforts to increase engagement within member companies, improve the member experience and ensure membership retention. Ms. Bennett joined the Chamber's special events team in 2016 and was promoted to manager of special events in 2019. During her tenure, she has been responsible for planning and executing the organization's highly rated special events and programs, while improving internal processes to ensure efficiency.
 
Josephine Tanopo has been promoted to digital communications manager and will have increased responsibility in developing and implementing an organizational communications plan to enhance the Chamber's brand with internal and external audiences. Ms. Tanopo was hired in 2017 as design and communications specialist and has been responsible for elevating the Chamber's printed and digital communications.
