Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity Implementation Committee Statement
The murder of George Floyd (Minneapolis), and the deaths of Regis Korchinski-Paquet (Toronto) and Breonna Taylor (Louisville), and the protest and violent unrest that has erupted over the past week, highlights the significance of the work of the Faculty of Arts and Science (FAS) Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Indigeneity Implementation (EDII) Committee and the importance of engaging all members of our Faculty in responding to the continuing issues faced by our community members.
The FAS EDII Committee stands in support of Black staff, students, and faculty, and community at large. We strongly condemn anti-Black violence and systematic racism against the Black community. We reaffirm our commitment to anti-racism around the world and at home here at Queen's University. This anti-racist work is crucial at this pivotal moment in time.

Reminder - Important Information for June Exams
All Students Writing Proctored Exams
Final exam schedule posted in SOLUS
The final exam schedule has been released and your exam date and time can be found in your SOLUS account. T
he actual start times will be staggered to allow for proctors to live authenticate each student before each begins the exam. On your SOLUS main page, under the ‘Academics’ section, click on the ‘other academic…’ dropdown menu; ‘Exam Schedule’ will be the 11th menu item listed. Click on it, then click on the ‘Go’ icon; from this screen, you will be able to view your exam date and time.
Not writing in the Kingston time zone (Eastern Daylight Time)?
A quick time zone survey have already been posted to OnQ on May 24, 2020. This survey will ensure that those of you in distant time zones will be able to write your exam at an appropriate time ie. not in the middle of the night. If you don’t submit a survey, we will schedule your exam at the Kingston exam time indicated in your Solus account.
Examity online proctoring
All exams will be written with Examity online proctoring. You will receive an email to your queensu email account approximately 2-3 weeks before your exam with directions on logging into Examity and scheduling your exam(s). All details will be provided in this email, so please be sure to check your queensu emails carefully.
Practice test
You will be given the opportunity to take a Practice Test with Examity, which allows you to run through the authentication process and what will be expected of you during your actual exam. The full list of technical requirements for Examity has been posted to your OnQ page.
Academic Consideration
Students are expected to write their exams as scheduled, which includes arranging work and travel to accommodate the exam schedule/details provided. Changes to the dates or start times of exams cannot be made at this time unless you feel you have extenuating circumstances preventing you from writing the exam as outlined in the
academic consideration policy
. If this is the case, please fill out the form on that website. Further Information on Exam Regulations and Academic Integrity are available
here
.
Accommodations
Students who have submitted a Letter of Accommodation through the Academic Accommodations and Considerations portal on their OnQ page will have their applicable accommodations applied to their exam on Examity.
Good luck on your exams!
