This Week at the Wimberly Center: Week of February 22nd
Gooooood Morning friends!

We have a few good nuggets of information below.

Let's get started.

Have a wonderful week!
Mobile Food Pantry @ Holly Hill Mall this Thursday!
The February Mobile Food Pantry will be Thursday, Feb. 25, 8:00 am at Holly Hill Mall, across from Hill's Ace Hardware, 189 W. Athens St., Winder.

If you need food, please bring proof of Barrow Co. residency. If you can volunteer to help give out food, please be there a little before 8:00 am. It would be great if you could bring friends, too! We always need volunteers. Dress for the weather! We don't postpone this event for hot, cold, rain or shine!
Community Cafe now offered 4 times a week!
Every Tuesday-Friday, Wimberly's Roots provides fresh meals on a pay what you can afford scale. The process is super simple.

You will see the tables set up outside (or just inside the green WHA doors inside the Wimberly Center if the weather is bad). You will pick a base from 4 options, a protein from 4 options, a side from 4 options, and your salad dressing from 4 options.

They will ask how much you would like to pay and then they will run the order back to Chef John. Roughly 5 or so minutes later, your meal will be delivered to you (with your choice of sweet or unsweet tea).

If you and your family would like a fresh meal that is within your budget, please stop on by today (or any Tue-Thur) from 11-1 pm.

Free Medication Lockboxes
The Auburn Prevention Project and Drug-Free Athens in collaboration with the Georgia Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Initiative are giving away large medication lock boxes for safe storage of medication and supplies. The medicine lockboxes are FREE to at-risk youth, seniors, military servicemen, and any other vulnerable population that may not have the means to buy a lockbox. If you would like a FREE medication lockbox, please email Tonya Knox at tknox@livedrugfree.org. Please fill out the form in the button below. Delivery is available.

Little Free Pantries are everywhere!
Our friend Frank Olinger has made a nifty document that shows where every Little Free Pantry is located.

These are great for those in need OR if you have an abundance and want to donate.

We may be a little biased but the one at the Wimberly Center is our favorite. :)
