Semester 2 StartUp Plans
Please note the plans for the start of Semester 2 after the holiday break. Scholars who will be staying remote for second semester will have the opportunity to pick up items and may have parent/guardian meetings planned with teachers or staff on Tuesday. Scholars joining us for the first time for Semester 2 will have orientation on Wednesday, January 6th.

Week of January 4th:
Remote learning for majority of scholars with times to come to campus for those remaining for remote learning for Semester 2, orientation for those joining us for the first time, and those high school scholars who need to make up exams from Semester 1.
Week of January 11, 2021:
Same as Hybrid in Semester 1 Hybrid rotation starts January 11, 2021 and continues for the following weeks. The A and B days will be the same as Hybrid in Semester 1. If Covid-19 numbers reduce significantly in the region, we may add additional days on campus or make other adjustments.
Covid Testing Offered on Campus
Please do not come to school with symptoms to be tested. Please contact your medical provider or MUSC.

However, those scholars and staff who develop covid related symptoms while on campus have the option of completing a saliva test prior to leaving campus.

Please note:

  1. A consent form will have to be signed by the parent or legal guardian prior to testing and the scholar will go home IMMEDIATELY once the specimen is taken.
  2. A second covid test may be needed as the test is only 90-92% accurate.
  3. Only scholars with symptoms will be tested. This test will NOT detect close contact or asymptomatic persons.

We will also be included in the new testing program being offered by DHEC and Governor McMaster.
