Residential counselor finds inspiration from Gatton Academy students
During his time as an undergraduate student in the WKU Organizational Leadership program, Owensboro native Hayden Hobgood worked in five different campus buildings as an RA. This ignited his interest in working with students, but he was looking for a slightly different experience upon graduation. It wasn’t until he entered into the WKU Counseling and Student Affairs program in 2019 that his career trajectory began to take shape. Throughout his WKU experience, Hobgood felt increasingly drawn to the prestigious residential school for gifted and talented high school juniors and seniors, The Gatton Academy.
