The Most Holy Trinity Mass
|
|
Message from our Pastor, Father Phil Reifenberg
|
|
Dear Parishioners:
Now that it’s past, I can openly admit that I was a little nervous about how the roll-out of
The Catholic Comeback would work last weekend. Piece of cake! (Literally!!! A parishioner at STA gave me a couple of pieces of a delicious cheese cake for my birthday on Saturday; another a pint of chocolate chip mint ice cream!) But the greeters and ushers at both STA and SJB were fantastic: courteous, friendly, helpful. We learned some things and will make adjustments as necessary (or helpful). For those who “took the plunge” and risked participating in the premier event of
The Catholic Comeback it was good to have you home. Thanks for joining us!

Prayer to the Holy Trinity
Glory be to the Father,
Who by His almighty power and love created me, making me in the image and likeness of God.
Glory be to the Son,
Who by His Precious Blood delivered me from hell, and opened for me the gates of heaven.
Glory be to the Holy Spirit,
Who has sanctified me in the sacrament of Baptism, and continues to sanctify me
by the graces I receive daily from His bounty.
Glory be to the Three adorable Persons of the Holy Trinity, now and forever.
Amen.

This summer we invite you to join us praying the Rosary every Friday at 4:00 pm on Facebook.
There will be a compilation of live Rosaries, new pre-recorded Rosaries, and previously recorded Rosaries. This Friday, June 5, we are praying the Sorrowful Mysteries.
*A Facebook account is not required to view the Rosary. If you are prompted to sign in select "not now" and you will have access.

Weekday Masses Return to the Regular Schedule
Beginning Thursday, June 11, all are welcome to gather for daily Mass at St. John the Baptist each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 am. No registration is necessary, social distancing is required and face masks are encouraged. Welcome back!
|
|
Those who have a fever or are experiencing flu-like symptoms should not attempt coming to Mass. Moreover, people over the age of 65 and those with compromised auto-immune systems and/or pre-existing health issues that render them more susceptible to infections or respiratory difficulties should consider staying away, as well. The Archbishop has extended his dispensation to all Catholics in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, no matter their age, from the obligation of attending Sunday Mass through Sunday, July 5th.

Welcome to SJB's new prayer group -
Rosary, Prayers & More ... with Mary (RPM’s)!
All are welcome - men, women, and children of all ages!! Gather as a family! Invite a friend!
3rd Wednesday of each month - beginning June 17
Our main foci are praying the rosary together as a community, offering prayer intentions, and sharing and growing in our faith (virtually for now). What better way to get closer to Jesus than through His mom, our Blessed Mother! Bring your rosary beads along or you can use your 10 fingers to keep track! Written prayers and readings will be shared with everyone to follow along. Until we are able to meet in person we will meet via Zoom at 7:00 PM. We will start with a short introduction and prayer intentions, begin praying the rosary about 7:15 PM, and estimate to conclude by 8:00 PM. Those who are interested can remain in the meeting to share and socialize until 8:30.
to receive an email with the Zoom link and more information the Tuesday before the meeting. For questions or assistance signing up, please contact Diane Gafney at
onmkids@gmail.com
or 920-254-2215.
Are you ready to rev up your faith with some RPM's?

Pastoral Council Connection
The Pastoral Council (PC) last met via Zoom on May 12th and listed below are a few of the topics discussed at the meeting.
View May 2020 PC Minutes
- Please welcome PC member Beth Weise as the Council’s Vice Chair, and Michael Hartke as a member of the Finance Council.
- Scott Dedlow informed the committee about the “Catholic Comeback” and how future services will be coordinated following the Archdiocese directives. A parish-wide mailer was sent outlining the procedures for attending weekend Masses.
- The Faith Formation mission trip and Vacation Bible School have been cancelled for this summer. Faith Formation registration is currently open for this coming fall.
- The Road America concession stand is complete and ready to go. However, the need for volunteers will be dependent on RA’s decision to race with or without fans. Please watch the bulletin for updates.
The next PC meeting will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, June 9th at 6:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Cheryl Nicholson – Pastoral Council Secretary

2020 SJB School Awards and Recognition
|
This year our Awards and Recognition Ceremony was a virtual one. Students in Pre-K through 8th grade received awards and were recognized for sharing their God-given talents this school year.
These students exhibit qualities that will not only help them in achieving their goals but also bring the glory of success to our school. Though we are not able to gather together in one space due to COVID-19, we certainly came together in spirit to celebrate the achievements of our students. These awardees exemplify self-discipline, compassion, and zeal for learning.
