I write this message from an Airbnb location on Lake Echo in Nova Scotia (voluntary 14-day self-isolation) before taking a little vacation time to visit my daughter in Halifax. Being “forced” to take a break reminds me how easy it is to forget to refresh and recharge by taking some downtime. With fall upon us, it’s a good time to pause and spend time outdoors to soak up the autumnal sun, fresh air and enjoy the beautiful fall foliage.
For CIFST, the summer was busy and business as usual. Coming off our successful, weekly “Table Talk” webinar series (with our partner Food in Canada), we have been working hard preparing for our Virtual Supplier Showcase. As mentioned, a few months ago, CIFST and Food in Canada commissioned an online survey about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our food sector and our businesses. The results are very interesting and can be found in the September edition of Food in Canada magazine READ MORE.
