TikTok Brain Explained: Why Some Kids Seem Hooked on Social Video Feeds
TikTok is a social media platform that has taken the world by storm, especially among teenagers. The dopamine rush of endless short videos makes it hard for young viewers to switch their focus to slower-moving activities. To read more about this phenomenon, view this article here.

News from The Crusader
Last week, The Crusader honored 20 staff members with a block for their service to the newspaper. In addition, the inaugural members voted in two emeritus honorees: Roman Peregrino '18, whose father Mario '85 accepted for him while Roman is at Georgetown, and Steven Rissotto '20.
This morning, adviser Susan Sutton along with faculty members Mary Ann Datoc and Brian Kosewic left with 15 students for the national high school journalism convention in Los Angeles. Please pray for a safe and successful trip.

Congrats to our Winter Drumline and Drum Majors
We would like to take this moment to congratulate all of the students and staff who were involved in the Winter Drumline and Drum Majors over the course of this Winter competition season. The final championship competition was this last Saturday at Lincoln High School in Stockton. These students had a lot of work along the way by rehearsing outside in the front of the school on Thursday nights and various open Saturdays, but had a ton of fun as well!
None of this would have been even remotely possible without the dedication of our percussion staff, Mr. Oliver Bishop and Mr. Matthew Gallegos. Both their drive and enthusiasm took the program to new heights this semester and we cannot thank them enough, nor wait to see what's in store for next year! Thank you also to Mr. Lance Ohnmeiss for taking on the task of coaching the Drum Majors throughout the season/school-year and the parent volunteers who were at each and every event!
WATCH a video of the Drumline's show "Take Out the Trash" at the championships here.
