Virtual School Board Meeting Highlights

out of iReady by achieving a 9th grade reading level (see Recognitions).

PERSONNEL RECOMMENDATIONS

The Board of Trustees approved all personnel recommendations including new hires, promotions, resignations and leaves.

RECOGNITIONS



As we recognize African American/Black History Month, Twin Rivers Unified joins educators throughout the country in honoring the contributions African Americans have made to this county, our state and Twin Rivers Unified. All Twin Rivers educational sites/Distance Learning classrooms are encouraged to recognize the contributions of African Americans throughout the curriculum. The Superintendent recommends approval of African American History Month Resolution No. 900.

8th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Sacramento Regional Essay Contest Winners

Two Twin Rivers Unified students had winning essays in the 8th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Sacramento Regional Essay Contest, open to middle and high school students throughout Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, El Dorado and Sutter Counties. 



Twin Rivers Unified joins educators throughout the country to highlight the essential role of our school counselors and the unique contributions and tremendous impact they have in helping students achieve school success. 



The Board of Trustees will recognize and celebrate 24 of our K-8 students who tested out of iReady by achieving a 9th grade reading level in the second Diagnostic that went out in the first weeks of January. Many of the students are in middle school; others are elementary students.
