Habitat LA Hosts 2020 Neighborhood Revitalization
Learning Cohort Gathering
Diversity. Welcoming. Potential. Passionate. Growing. Hopeful. Evolving. God-filled. Tight-knit. These are just a few of the words the attendees at the 2020 Neighborhood Revitalization Learning Cohort Gathering used to describe their communities in just one word. On Tuesday January 14 th , Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) kicked-off the new year and our 30 th anniversary year by hosting over 80 attendees from nine Habitat for Humanity affiliates to discuss what neighborhood revitalization looks like across the United States.

Did you know it only takes ONE person to make a BIG difference in our community? Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) only had one employee in 1998, Ms. Erin Rank, who is now our President and CEO.

Erin just celebrated her Habi-versary on January 1st, commemorating 22 incredible years!
The American National Red Cross Awards Habitat LA $200,000 Grant
Many thanks to The American National Red Cross who awarded Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) a $200,000 grant to support disaster relief efforts. Supporting families affected by natural disasters requires immediate and collaborative efforts. Habitat LA helps with immediate support to affected families and in the long-term, helps communities recover and regain the capacity to rebuild their lives.

Volunteer Opportunities
Construction Crew Leader Orientation is on
Wednesday January 29 th
Calling all Habitat LA friends with construction skills… Come volunteer with us as a Construction Crew Leader!

Volunteer Crew Leaders are a vital part of our construction team as they help lead crews of unskilled volunteers on our construction sites. This is a great opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills and help local families in need of a safe, affordable place to call home.

Sign up for our next orientation on Wednesday, January 29 th from 9 AM - 3:30 PM in Culver City.

PGA Tournament Volunteers Monday February 13 th – 19 th
Looking for a unique volunteer opportunity? Represent Habitat LA at the PGA Tournament at the Riviera Country Club during the Genesis Open.

Volunteers will be sorting recycled items in order to help reduce waste from this major PGA event. An environmental recycling company will donate dollars to Habitat LA for every volunteer hour completed. Please help support our mission in this cool way while earning access to the tournament!

Each volunteer will receive a complimentary ticket for entry into the Genesis Open on a day of their choice!
