Abyd Karmali, OBE
Managing Director, Bank of America

Abyd Karmali is a Managing Director, ESG & Sustainable Finance at Bank of America based in London. From 2007-2014, he served as Merrill Lynch’s (subsequently BofAML) Global Head of Carbon Markets. In 2014, he became part of the team supporting the bank’s broader capital deployment commitment to mobilise $300 billion for low-carbon investment opportunities by 2030. He has worked for almost 30 years on climate change and sustainable finance and was made an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (OBE) for these efforts in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List for 2019. Before joining the financial sector in 2007, he was a partner in a management consulting firm in Washington DC and Toronto where he advised companies on their climate strategy and also spent two years with the United Nations Environment Programme in Paris where he served as Energy and Climate Change Programme Officer. In 2013, Mr. Karmali served as one of two inaugural private sector representatives to the Board of the Green Climate Fund. His current advisory roles include the Judging Panel for the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the Energy Transition Commission, the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance, and co-chair of the Sustainable Finance Working Group for the International Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Board of Directors for NGO The Climate Group and on the National Committee for NGO the Aga Khan Foundation (UK). He holds an MS in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Sana Habib
Director, Bank of America
 
Sana is a Director in Bank of America (London) and has over 15 years of banking experience. She is currently leading the Credit stream of a Climate Change project in Bank of America in EMEA requiring her to work closely with senior stakeholders and different lines of businesses in pushing this important initiative forward. Since joining Bank of America in 2013, Sana has worked in a variety of other roles in commodities & natural resources and corporate lending portfolios and is a member of the Credit senior leadership team in EMEA. Sana previously worked in Goldman Sachs, BP Singapore and EDF and holds a BSc in Mathematics and Economics from University College, London. In her spare time, Sana loves yoga, running, reading, travelling, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She is a mother of two boys and lives in London, UK.

Andrea Kelly
Partner, PwC

Andrea Kelly is an assurance partner in the asset and wealth management practice of PwC. Andrea has over 25 years experience in the industry and has worked in Ireland, the USA and Australia. She leads our Alternatives Asset Management Practice in Ireland and is the EMEA Hedge Fund leader. She is a member of the steering committee for 100 women in finance in Ireland and is the partner sponsor for the Gender Pillar of the PwC Ireland Diversity Council.
